The Founder
Growing up, my older sister endured a serious skin condition. Medical treatments and prescriptions offered short-term relief, but no lasting solution. Remarkably, though we were told full recovery was unlikely, my sister completely healed her skin within five years through our family’s commitment to eliminating artificial and chemical elements in our diet, clothing, and skincare.
Although I didn’t experience the same skin condition as my sister, her recovery journey taught me to carefully scrutinize the ingredients in everything we used. My skin is thin and sensitive, so finding suitable skincare products was a constant struggle. Whenever I tried functional cosmetics for anti-aging, they caused breakouts, making them unusable for me. As I examined cosmetic ingredients, I realized that many high-end premium cosmetics contained nearly the same ingredients as lower-cost products. This led me to question two things: 'Why aren’t functional cosmetics suitable for sensitive skin? And why do premium cosmetics often have similar ingredients to budget products?
In cosmetics, ingredient quality can differ significantly depending on sourcing and extraction techniques, yet many brands focus on marketing ingredient names rather than prioritizing ingredient quality to minimize costs. I was determined to create the ultimate skincare solution by investing in optimal sourcing and extraction methods over flashy ingredient branding. Consequently, the production cost of VERALGA products exceeds the retail prices of many other brands. However, it is essential to understand the origins and composition of the ingredients we apply to our skin. I am dedicated to creating skincare products that offer safe, healthy beauty for those who seek it.
